I wish I could help, butI live in South Africa. I just want to know if these people (Danielle and her family) are famous, seeing that they were on Larry King etc. because I don't think they would do the same to just any ordinary people. Anyway, I'll pray for them. |

DAYS, The family with the missing girl is not famous. Actually they live in a middle class neighborhood. The family just went really public because they want their daughter back. I think that it was publicized more too because there have been so many cases in the U.S. where the parents/parent have actually harmed their own child and covered it up by saying they were kidnapped. That's probably another reason why the media was all over it. The parents are not suspects anymore. It's pretty sad that authorities have to make parents of missing kids take lie detector tests. |

Thanks for clearing that up Hawk! Yes it is sad that parents have to go through these things, but on the other hand, it could've been one of the parents (I'm just talking in general). |

I know this sounds awful, but I just think it is sad that this case is SO public, when thousands of kids go missing every year and never get the media attention like some others do. Does that mean that this child is more IMPORTANT in some way? i read your comment that said they are just a middleclass family, and not rich, but what about ALL the other families of abducted or missing children? Don't they deserve a little attention too? (I understand this is kinda impossible-- but maybe they need a show devoted JUST to missing kids cases-- like an Americas Most wanted typ thing....) |

I agree with you Dizzy. I think the reason others aren't so publicized is because the child was taken by one of the parents. The usual custody dispute didn't go the way he/she wanted it to and the parent without full custody takes little Timmy for a ride. Those cases probably aren't on tv as much because they know who has their kid. |
