Here are some cool facts a friend sent me :)

-The number 57 on a Heinz ketchup bottle represents the number of varieties of pickle the company once had.

-The U.S. Government spent $277,000 on Pickle research in 1993

-A Chinese checkerboard has 121 holes

- Kermit the Frog is left-handed

-The average American family views television six hours each day

-The price of the first TV Guide was 15 cents

-All the dirt from the foundation to build the former World Trade Center in NYC was dumped into the Hudson River to form the community now known as Battery City Park

-Construction on the Leaning Tower of Pisa was began on August 9th, 1173

-Due to precipitation, for a few weeks, K2 is taller than Mt. Everest

-If you bring a raccoon's head to the Henniker, New Hampshire town hall, you are entitled to receive $.10 from the town

-In 1980, a Las Vegas hospital suspended workers for betting on when patients would die

-In Washington D.C., no building can be built taller than the Washington Monument

-It is forbidden for aircraft to fly over the Taj Mahal-

Guess it's kind of like when they (the government) spent billions on solar energy to dry laundry. They hung a rope between two poles and found people could save money drying clothes this way. LOL! True story from the 70's.
