I saw it...and I thought it was good!! Typical Stephen King movie...but I love his work...so I really liked it. As far as being based on true facts??? I don't think so....after the movie they talked about it on the local news here...in real life, that house is a bed and breakfast that they say is haunted. A lot of paranormal activity goes on there...I'd love to check it out...it's in Washington....but what happens in the movie didn't really happen. They did interview people that work there at the bed and breakfast and they said that the daughter, I believe it was, of the the owner died there...and a lot of people claim that they see here there by the water, and a lot of weird things happen...very interesting!!! |

I really liked the movie so far. I don't always like Stephen King movies, but this one is well done. I am also partial, cuz it is filmed in Seattle, and I have been to so many places that they picture in the movie. I especially like when they showed all the beautiful lakes, ocean and mountains that we have here. I guess I am a nature freak ... LOL. I can't wait for part II. |

Oh, that house is really up here, and said to be haunted. When Stephen King saw a picture of it, he immediately moved the film from LA to Seattle to take advantage of that great house. Some of the actors said that the felt the errie quality of the house too. It is said that ghosts regularly appear to the Bed & Breakfast guests. |

I liked the show, can't wait till the next part. But the real house in the movie they used is haunted. Isn't that wild? I still would never want to meet Stephen King in a dark alley. *SHIVERS* |

Yeah, the story for Rose Red wasn't inspired by that house though...it is really inspired by the infamous Winchester Mansion. Although the house used in Rose Red i would LOVE to visit...same as the Winchester Mansion. |

Since I don'r read other comments efore I make mine, I may be way out in leftfield but it 'reads' like every other King 'miniseries' for t.v.. To predictable, gradually more horror tonight, as well as bodies starting to vanish or be dismembered or both. The best will bee the last show, when all the evil there comes out of the closet and the remainer people fight to stay alive and manage to get out, or maybe the house decides not to let anyone out at all. It will be fun to sit down with a bowl of popcorn and a Pepsi and see who dies tonight, antway. |

i've seen it before and i liked it. much better than his movies usually are. too many have been botched ever seen the langoliers? that one was interesting. the winchester house isn't too far from here. we keep meaning to go but haven't done it yet. it would be cool if we could get out there when they are doing their halloween tours. |
