wear goggles? lol j/k sorry. I'm not really sure how you could get over this except maybe gradually work your way into the shower with your eyes closed like, be in the bathroomn with the shower running but not be in the shower and close your eyes. see if you can handle that. then maybe put your hand in the shower and have your eyes closed and work your way up to being completely in there but take your time in doing so....just a thought |

I'm guessing that I do watch too much scary movies, I mean I watched "The Shining" and that night I slept with my lights on. I like Becky's idea though. I'm not afraid of the shower, but simply closing my eyes to run my face under the water to wash the face wash off my face and eyelids (to get rid of any eye makeup and mascara), however, I will try Becky's idea. Thanks sweety! |

LOL...I've had the same exact problem, and it was EXACTLY because I saw the shining too...I dont blame ya honey...that freaky old lady gets the best of ya!!! Basically, I think you've got an overly active imagination, like I do. Just lock the door to the bathroom and force yourself in the shower to close your eyes...that's the only way I got over it...just tell your self, there's nobody gonna get me...and hey, if it makes you feel any better, put bells on the door handle to hear if anybody twists the knob. I dunno, but you'll never find out anything unless you push yourself. Good luck. Peace. |

I feel uneasy under the shower when no one is at home with me, I usually wait until someone is home, so I know exactly how you feel....cheers |

It is nice to see so many of us feel or have felt this way..when I am alone in the house I always think when i open my eyes in the shower I will be seeing someone or something peeking back into my own face YIKES I have watched too many horror movies but my friend was in the shower once and opened her eyes and a woman was right there yelling I see everything..it was a ghost now can you see also why I am spooked |

I get that too, because I remember those shower scenes in "It" and "Psycho." I think it's because ghosts are watching you naked (JK, relax) |

I get that same feeling... just close your eyes and whatever you do try not to open them. You'll find it's actually peaceful in an odd sort of way. The Scrabble Kid |

Well, I don't think there is anything wrong with your fear of being in the shower. Realistically speaking, anything is possible. Not trying to scare ya but it's a good idea to keep the bathroom door locked. That's what I do and I don't blast the radio. You just never know! God Bless |
