My tooth hurts soooo bad. It's the very back tooth on the left side (top row)... it's sooo sensative.. and it throbs even when I don't touch it (or bite down or whatever)... That tooth has had a root canal done and has a crown on it.. so the nerves should be dead! I shouldn't be feeling this pain! But it's hurting... really bad at the tooth and the pain goes up to my temple and is hurting constantly..

Since I've had a root canal.. I thought maybe this could be my wisdom teeth coming in??? Just a year ago my wisdom teeth were little pods.. not fully formed and no roots or anything.. could they be trying to get out ALREADY? Do you think it's my wisdom teeth? I'm almost 19 and I hear that's the prime age that wisdom teeth take their vengence....i feel weak and helpless to this captor... I'm going to call the dentist tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone might know what it is or how to make the pain stop!

I want morphine!

Date: 1/27/2002 8:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    it could very well be your wisdom teeth yeah that's kinda how they felt when I had mine comming in. call your dentist tomorrow morning and explain the pain. if you have pain like that their normally really good about getting you in the same day. until then if you have any ambisol try that, or if you don't have that what I did when I had the wisdom tooth thing comming in, I kinda wedged a piece of ice in the back of my mouth, I'm not sure though you sound a bit too sensitive to be trying that one. lol good luck!
Date: 1/27/2002 8:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 27554    hehe I'm a dentist. See here's my lisence!! * holds up a fake dentist lisence written in crayon* I can fix you up! Open wide!! lol really, I hope it feels better. Pop some tylenols, maybe that would work!
Date: 1/27/2002 8:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 8278    sounds like wisdom teeth to me. a few months ago, i had to have all four wisdoms and the two back molars pulled. oh my, the pain is just indescribable. i feel for you sweetie, i really do. definitly get to the dentist as soon as you can. trust me, it will feel 10 times better once it is taken out. i wish ya the best
Date: 1/27/2002 8:22:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 19685    thanks for the replies so far! becky, no.. nothing is going in my mouth LOL i'm in so much pain i am keeping my jaws extra-open to insure my teeth don't touch.. so when i talk it sounds weird lol! but anyways.. just some extra info.. tylenol, ibuprofen, etc don't do a thing for me! sometimes they help headaches but that's it! it's always a waste of time and a waste of medicine when i take them for anything.
