I'm a guy and I'll tell you what he would probably really like. Since you are such good friends, you probably know his likes and dislikes. I'm sure that you could cook a few meals which would please him. Believe me, that would mean a whole lot more to him than going out to eat. Pick out some movies that you think the two of you might enjoy watching together. Since you are going to be at home, the way you dress is entirely up to you. You probably know what he would like. There is no pressure to get all dressed up that way. You can just be comfortable! I hope your visit is a pleasant one and I trust that it will be.
