Date: 1/25/2002 3:01:00 PM From Authorid: 20750 yes I do ---> saute onions(red) & mushrooms & garlic & a pinch of salt & lots of freshley ground pepper & a little bit of raw or grounded ginger & About 3 cups of spinich & the tofu!! make sure the tofu is browned on both sides or it will be squishy. this takes about 20 minutes. I n the meantime cook fetachinie(sp) noodles for around 12 to 15 minutes & drain!! Put noodles on your plate & put sauted ingredients on top of the noodles & Add parmasian cheese. serve with salad & garlic bread!! |
Date: 1/25/2002 3:06:00 PM From Authorid: 40881 I worked in a health food store. We used to sell tofu sandwiches, you cut the tofu into 1/2 in slabs..then let it sit in soy sause, then fry them till thhey get brown on both sides, then put tom, sprouts, onion, or whatever you like on it and ..eat! lol..you can also use it the same way in veggie stir fry., cook it like you would (*chicken*)<<sorry if you dont eat that<< you can use it in any dish to replace meat. |

Hey! A really simple recipe for tofu salad : Chop up tofu into cubes, make a layer on a flat-bottomed bowl. Next, layer on some canned salmon or tuna. On top, layer thin sliced tomatoes over, then thinly sliced onions. Garnish with green onions. Its as simple as that! Serve with soy sauce for dressing. |
