The night sings a lullabye, As the moonbeams gather near, Blanketing the sky, As the stars start to appear, The silvery moon shines down, On the waters far below, Mirroring night's images, From its irridescent glow, Fading into the darkness, Like a thousand tarnished dreams, Leaving behind night's shadow, Unbelonging,as though it seems, Over the horizon, The sunrise has arrived, Filling up the space, Where night had once survived, The warmth of morning's rapture, Leaves the sun upon my face, Awakening my soul, As daylight now takes place.
