Well, I'll tell you this isn't news to me. There happens to be a 5 year old on here to. This doesn't bother me at all, because it's a g-rated site and I'm sure their parents are right there. Love, |

A FIVE YEAR OLD! Geeze! I understand that this is a g-rated site and that's why its ok with me for them being here...but its the fact that they are on the internet! I just haven't seen any of the little guys around here before and it was kinda shocking! And btw how can a 5 year old type, or even spell...or read! LoL PEace, |

Yeah my little brother can recognize my tag and he likes to look at them also. (he just turned 6) I've read him some jokes and stuff, He's been able to write his name since he was 4, and he can recognize some words also, but I only read him stuff that would be appropriate for a 6 year old. I know that its g-rated here but there are some things that would be too scary or just not right for a little kid to read. for example I read a story about a lady who's husband keeps on murdering her cats! I wouldn't want a little kid reading that! I would freak if I was 7 and read that! Just my opinion Peace, |

When I was 8 I'm not sure there was even internet for home use, we had a computer but it sure didn't have the internet! But I think 8 is just a little too young to be allowed to go on the internet by yourself. My little brothers weren't allowed until they were 12 atleast. It was never a problem for me because I was already a teenager by the time we got the internet. Don't their parents worry about them messing up the computer? I'm 18 and my parents are still pretty weary of me going on the internet. They always tell me to never give my name and tell anyone the town I live in. I could read really well when I was 5, but I sure didn't know how to type, even less spell. And I'm still terrible at spelling. I can't even imagine a 5 year old on the internet! |

*switches Old Foggie Mode on* Gees...whats a 8 year doing on the internet - they SHOULD be outside chopping the wood and mowing the lawns - these young kids these days, no backbone I tell ya...soft! Soft the lot of them! Why in my day we didn't have any of this internet malarky to keep us occupied - we didn't need it, we had good solid work! And that 5 year old could be out painted the house or something. Hehehe. *switches Old Foggie Mode off* Peace, |

Kids can be stalked while playin in a park, in the yard, where ever. Either way, parents need to be around. some pervs like parks, some like computers. Either way they should be put away and left far from kids!-----R1 |

I'm with you on this. One, children that age would be more likely to give out personal info online. I don't think kids that age SHOULD be online without parental supervision. Also they may not be matuer and post mean hurtful or inappropriate things on USM. ;_; |

I don't think I used the internet when I was 8. I remember I did when I was in like 5 or 6 grade! Oh yeah, I do remember going into Hanson chats (Haha I was little then I guess! Cuz I don't like Hanson now!) when my parents were in the room, but that's it! |
