Well you should always know the sorce your downloading from. A good way to protect yourself is to get some security software that blocks people from getting into your system. I recommend BalckIce Defender, or something similar. good luck  |

Well, i put up 2 firewalls and they broke through both of em. Some people just have too much time. Also, i get alot of port scan attacks with kazaa too...be careful.  |

Most 'free' downloadables like KaZaA.com and morpheus come embedded with spyware. But then the biggest spyware going is Internet Explorer itself. Very little you can do without getting hold of some serious tech...particularily with live-link keystroke progs, which basically record your keystrokes and send then off when ya online...gets passwords quite nicely.
