ok, i got a digital camera yesterday for christmas. It came with a USB adapter and a serial cable adapter. I have followed the manual exactly as it said, and still can't get it to work on my computer. It is a Polaroid PDC 640CF digital camera, to be exact. It came with installation software and drivers. Even after the software was installed, i still got a message saying "camera failed to connect" or somethin like that. I have tried both the USB and the serial cable. If anyone can provide me with some help, it would really be appreciated!

Date: 12/25/2001 4:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 21137    You have the serial cable tight, and plugged into your computer right? Because I had the same problem with one of my hard-drives. Turns out I have to buy a new serial port.. my hubby says it should cost me about $10.00. Good Luck!

Ps..he says it might be you don't have it plugged all the way into the camera - so make sure you double check
