It really depends on what is going on. If there is alot of caos in the family, I would prefer it just stay away. This year is fine. Last year I had been in a wreak and was greatful to be alive. I do have to say this is the first year of my life there isn't a present for me under my tree.  |

I'm a Chrismas person. I love the lights, and the smells..pine, bayberry, cinnamon..I like to decorate the house. I actually enjoy the stress of this time of the year.~Golden Taxi.  |

I personally love Christmas time...it is one of my favorite holidays...Christ was born a long time ago...He is the reason for the season...I just don't like all the hype about Santa and presents and everything...gift giving is nice but it isn't want Christmas is all about anyway...so this Christmas remember it is Christ's birth we are celebrating and that is why I love this holiday... The older I get the less Christmassy I am. When I was a kid the days leading up to Christmas just seemed to drag. Now that I'm older Christmas just seems to come so fast. I miss the excitement for Christmas that I used to feel as a kid.  |

I also love all the things you and Golden taxi mentioned!!! I Love Christmas! It's a little better if I can get most things done about two weeks before Christmas. I actually enjoy the hustle and bustle if I don't have much else to do  I love to feel the excitement in the air and doing Christmas crafts! I like the idea of family and friends coming together on Christmas day, but altogether...I'm not really a Christmas person. I'm not all for the present buying (stressful w/decision making), or getting a x-mas tree (I got 13 animals, 6 of which are dogs and cats...tree+dogs/cats=disaster)  |

To tell the truth a prefer Easter which for the most part is celebrated for the true reason Christ's Resurrection.I amzsick to death of phony togetherness stories from mycoworkers I love my son myMom stepDad sister brother in law and nephews just as much as the love their famileies just because I do not have a man don't mean I do not have family but they always say you got noone you should work Tell me if you can waht does having aman have to dowith celebrating Christ's birth and then there is the bragging about gifts purchased by their man evn thoug he has not held a job in years LOL isee them hand their man money every payday what a joke. At Easter time they do not seem to care on way or the other and I can enjoy the true meaning of Easter without the head aches cause by others  |

Definately on the Christmas side..love all the lights and decorations too..the way a gloomy day brightens up on a glorious night of shimmering lights..candy canes are my favorite...the colors!Gives you something to celebrate , something to look forward to..I especially love with all my heart the things my kids have made for me in there class...The only drawbacks of x-mas is when you are a few dollars away from being completely broke..I'm pleased with what i've gotten for my children..I'm still trying to instill that thoughtful, grateful nature into them..maybe one day they will truely appreciate all they have..but, for being the age they are now..they are doing wonderfuly..best christmas present i could ever ask for  |
