All the things you mentioned have nothing to do with Christmas. Maybe that's why you don't like it, you've forgotten what it's all about. I too am busy, Dec. 7'th is my moms birthday, Dec. 17'th was our anniversary, Dec. 25'th comes Christmas, and the 1'st is my parents 50'th anniversary. Yea, I'm busy, but this is still the best time of the year. There is no better gift than Jesus. |

After not being home with my family for 5 years for Christmas, I am having a great time shopping for them. I love wrapping the presents I purchased and making them look pretty for presentation. I get to do some holiday baking with my mom which I haven't had the opportunity to do in ages. We'll have Christmas music playing in the background and the house is decked out in decorations because my mom knows how much I love them. I guess the spirit of Christmas is all in how you look at it... |

I really do luv Christmas, but I have to admit it is a hassle, but to see the faces of the grandkids when they open their pressies makes it all worthwhile. Zeplin42 |

My dad is pretty much the same way; he says Christmas is only about spending money on people and trying to find out just how cheap you can get this person's gift and that person's gift. He says it's just a holiday for the stores...so they can make more money. But I really don't see it in that way at all. Obviusly we wouldn't buy someone a gift if we didn't love them. Christmas is actully my favorite time of the year. Whether we had presents or not. It's the one time of the year that my parents are BOTH home from work and it's the one time of the year that I get to see them smile. It's the one time of the year that I get to decorate the house and see all the beautiful lights in my neighborhood and city. It's the one time of the year that we eat a nice big turkey meal (that I help make) all together. It's the one time that we all are together, laughing and having fun. And us all being together is the best gift I could ever recieve. XoXo |
