Great 5 stars. WOW This movie is great The sets have nailed Middle Earth exactly. From the homespun charm of Hobbitton to the etheral beauty of Riven Dale to the brooding dark of Moria to the light Lothlorien It is just wonderful. And the casting is perfect Elijah Wood shines as Frodo as do fellow Hobits Sam (Sean Astin) Merry Pippen Dominick Moghan and Billy Boydd Ian McKellen is wonderful as Gandalf, Viggo Mortenson plays the role of Aragorn the king in exile to perfection. Sean Bean is great as the tortured warrior Boromir and his final sceane in the movie is heartbreaking Orlando Bloom as Legolas the elf and John Rhys Davis as Gimli the Dwarf round out the fellowship and both shine. I was plesantly suprised at the way Live Tyler shines as Arwen the Elf and Cate Blanchett is great as Lady of the Golden Wood. Christopher Lee as the wizard Sauraman does evil so well. All in all the story sticks very close to the book with some skipped parts anda beefed up role for Arwen. I was very impressed with the whole movie from sets to casting axcting to makeup and special effects. Ther are also some great sceanes of interplay between the actors my favorite right now is the fight sceane between Boromir Merry and Pippen when he is teaching them how to use a sword priceless
