There are so many stero-types. I can't stand it when I hear others say "kids today.." and ramble on and on about how bad we are. Not all of us are bad, there are SO many more good ones. We just do not get seen often. It seems as though the negative is better then the positive?? I think it should be the other way around!!!!! *shakes head* Kids learn from their mistakes, adults learned from things they did as kids. Its a cycle, they should learn to accept it, instead of whine and complain. *shakes head* Many elder people are surprised to see me holding a door open for them.. that should not be the case!!! *shakes head* well take care, *HUGS*  |

i think every generation has had their share of "bad kids".it is just that they draw more attention than the good ones.i think alot of kids now a days are more rebelious than in the past. but even alot of your rebelious kids are good when you get to know them.every generation has had kids that have done drugs.i think kids in todays generation are just more open about it.i don't think it is right to judge kids or to judge how the future will be.  |

Every generation has had good people and bad people. The people you are talking about have got some nerve passing such harsh judgements on young people when past generations spawned such horrific things as slavery, and segregation to name only a couple. This world has never been perfect. Some things have gotten worse but other things have improved. We have not yet had everything 100% perfect but maybe some day we can come pretty close to it. I have faith that most of us are learning from the mistakes of the past. Also, not all people from older generations think badly about kids and young adults. I hear many older people sing the praises of the younger ones. I have seen many letters written to newspapers commending the young people of today.  So, don't let the negative comments get you down. Just prove them wrong with the way you live your life now and in the future and remember, the ones saying the bad things are the ones living in glass houses. Hugs, SeaPrincess  |
