Unfortunately, there are people who take pleasure and find other peoples pains and problems laughable. Take for example today I was sitting in psych class and we were talking about people who suffer from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder well this one girl thought it was the most hilarious thing in the world. What she seem to fail to realize is that these are real disorders which are very hard for people and family who suffer from these problems. It's called being insensitive and thats how the girl was acting and the comments your talking about. I'm sorry you were faced with someone like that but know its not just you this is a problem many people have to deal with and I'm sure it happens all around USM as well. *hugs* I think it's very brave of you to talk about what you went through as a child and I can't even imagine the tauntings and pain you probably experienced. I'm in awe of your courage and heart though. *hugs* Love,  |

unfortunately GrooveeMe, there r some pretty awful ppl out there who delight in pulling someone down, but I think they must be living miserable lives themselves, if they get a kick out of ur problem, I've found everyone helpful and kind on this site, so dont let one awful person pull u down hun, just ignore them. I don't think it's funny at all. My cousin Christie went through the same thing in elementary school. Her dr said it was caused by a stressful home envoirnment. Some people get a kick out of others pain. It's not funny to me and I don't see how some people can be so cruel. I hope you and your loved ones have a great holiday season   |

Allow me to apologize for that insensitive person that hurt your feelings. I missed that story or I would have let that person have it. It's not funny and anyone who thinks it is has a warped sense of humor. What you described is a psycholgical disorder and yes I believe it is caused by stress. The majority of the population has a disorder or two. It was very brave of you to bring yours out into the open. I hope you got the help you needed and that you're doing better.
