Nobody Likes Me.........

Everybody Hates Me............

And now that I got your attention please pass those worms.

This website, which many call home, is made up of all kinds of people. Some people have tendencies to feel unloved here. How? I have to ask myself this question every time I see a post with the usual tale of woe.

You know the old tale where no one reads my posts. The ones where they feel that we are purposely over looking posts because they're written by a certain author. People, our author ids are not listed next to the new posts. The members of USM do not bypass your posts purposely. If anyone has read the FAQ'S, which I have, it specifically states to use a catchy title to draw attention to your post. The title is everything.

A prime example of a title being everything is my title. How many of you clicked because you thought I was feeling unliked? Probably all of you. It's all in a title. The title is an attention getter. So, instead of writing tear streaked posts to see who cares, write a post, from your heart, from your soul, where ever your best thoughts come from and give it a name! But, don't just give it a name.......give it a title that will make people want to click as soon as they read it!

Date: 12/9/2001 11:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 27046    Hawk you make good points with this, however I have seen some stuff around here today and tonight that just bugs me...
Date: 12/9/2001 11:10:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 277    LMAO! Thanks, Dolphin!
Date: 12/9/2001 11:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 29928    I clicked because I figured this post was being put here by someone that had responded to Jellie's post and although I agree with what you say above hawk, we also have to remember the ages of a lot of people in here and share a little compassion. And wether you agree or not, her post was being written form her heart and her soul just as you suggest. Huggs,
Date: 12/9/2001 11:12:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 277    There's some things that bug me around here tonight too, Azairyia. When people need attention they should really do it in a more positive manner rather than throwing pity parties. Just my opinion.
Date: 12/9/2001 11:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 39258    now hawk, i dont think this post was written from your heard and soul LOL im kidding, but i see your point and DO agree with it. i, unlike you, just dont have the guts to say anything .. but i still love ya!
Date: 12/9/2001 11:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 27046    Hawk well all I can say is read my post and that will answer your comment....
Date: 12/9/2001 11:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 18516    I agree with pammie.
Date: 12/9/2001 11:16:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 277    Azairyia, I read your post, I like it and understand it. It definitely came from deep down!
Date: 12/9/2001 11:17:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 277    Pammie Rose and LemonadeMe, There's no doubt it was from her her heart and her soul, but it was definitely a "tear streaked" post to see who cares. That's not the type of writing that I'm suggesting here.
Date: 12/9/2001 11:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 45948    Very well said! I was thinking the exact same thing the other day! ~~Angeleyez~~
Date: 12/9/2001 11:18:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 277    Sure you have the guts, Telsha!
Date: 12/9/2001 11:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 27046    Hawk you know what...she could have needed some pity at that moment is all I am saying...it happens to the best of us...lol...even when we don't want to admit it..however I think sometimes we can do without leaving an opinion, no matter how strongly we may feel about that opinion, to spare someone else's feelings in the process...
Date: 12/9/2001 11:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 24003    Great post Hawk! I thought something was fish LOL Since when would YOU post a sob post?! LOL love,
Date: 12/9/2001 11:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 39258    i do.. but.. i dont like when people are 'mad' at me .. i know this is only the internet.. but.. yea.. i have this thing against 'rejection' i suppose.. i dunno..never thought about it..hmmm
Date: 12/9/2001 11:27:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 277    Azairyia, I see what you mean, but I'm sorry...I don't walk on egg shells around people. I give my honest opinions because that's just the way I am. I'm not trying to hurt feelings here.
Date: 12/9/2001 11:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 29928    Only the internet Telsha..that is true, but we are al still real people with real feelings and should always remember that when commenting. She deserved as much respect for her post s Hawk does for this one. Huggs,
Date: 12/9/2001 11:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 27046    Hawk I am seriously not trying to pick a fight with you...but there is a time to comment with honest feelings and time not to. When your honest opinion results in hurting another persons feelings then shouldn't that mean don't comment at all? Honestly was giving your opinion to Jellybean more important than hurting her feelings? You have to remember even though we are not sitting face to face with one another, there is still a living, breathing, person with feelings sitting behind this screen.
Date: 12/9/2001 11:36:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 277    I treat people in person the same way I treat people on the internet. No one in real life has ever gotten mad at me for being honest with them. Or for giving my opinion. I think that people think comments should be candy coated on the internet because they don't want truth here. I really think some people live/act a different way on the net than they do in real life. That's why they're surprised when they get an honest comment from me, because I'm considered "rude" by some. I am myself online...that will never change.
Date: 12/9/2001 11:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 27046    Hawk so basically what you are saying is its okay for you to tell some they are fat because its your honest opinon and someone is not going to get mad at you for that? I am really trying to understand what you are meaning here, really I am, but there is a big difference between being rude and being honest, I am just not sure that you are seeing the difference or not...
Date: 12/9/2001 11:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 27046    Maybe just to put it more bluntly...I once had this conversation with Ginger on the phone not to long ago. There are many times when I open a post and I read it and I sit here....(and yes hubby thinks I am nuts cause I talk to my computer screen)...and I say "OMG what an idiot" and many other statements when I see posts that could potentially challenge my opinion to be strong and hurt someone's feelings. However when I turn around and make my comment....IF I make a comment on the post at all...it comes out differently. However you call it sugar coating....I call it tact...
Date: 12/9/2001 11:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 17014    Iy is all in the title-- that's for sure! Good post!
Date: 12/10/2001 12:10:00 AM  From Authorid: 29928    I once again agree with AZ..there are many times that I open a post and think OMG gimme abreak, but I just close it and move along...I dont feel compelled to leave harsh words just because I dont agree with it.
Date: 12/10/2001 3:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 13437    great post Hawk!!!=)
Date: 12/10/2001 8:05:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 277    Come on guys, do you really think people ask "me" if I think they're fat?! LOL!
Date: 12/10/2001 8:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 2030    Hawk, Do I look Fat? Hawk you got over 90 birthday replies and I got about half that amount. No one loves me I'm leaving.
Date: 12/10/2001 8:45:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 277    LOL@BCAR!I wished you a Happy Birthday, BCAR! 90 some replies on that post but I'm obviously the bad guy in disguise, right? LOL! Maybe the replies were candy coated? LOL!
Date: 12/10/2001 10:01:00 AM  From Authorid: 2030    They were afraid NOT to reply I think. LOL!
Date: 12/10/2001 10:02:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 277    LMAO! Maybe, BCAR, because the word on the street is that I bite! LOL!
Date: 12/10/2001 11:59:00 AM  From Authorid: 21435    I like you, Hawk. You are one "Gutsy" broad, in my book..lol..Can't help but to admire that. "I am the Hawk and there's blood on my feathers." John Denver said that. You make a very good point about the catchy titles. See ya. Write on.....
Date: 12/10/2001 12:11:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 277    LOL@Kronk!
Date: 1/8/2002 10:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 35720    I totally agree with you, even though I am WAY late for this post. lol I get sick of people complaining about how the quote unquote "popular" USMers get "all the replies". I just don't know what to comment when I read those posts, but you hit the nail right on the head.
Date: 1/8/2002 10:28:00 PM  From Authorid: 1631    Hey Hawk, good post and good point. I clicked on this post cuz I was planning on coming in and crashing the "pity party" that was taking place. Hehe!...
