I think that USM is a living and evolving thing, it changes with the times and will get better and worse at sometimes. It is still a place I enjoy even with all those changes. I love this place and because of that can take the rough times with the good times just like everything else. You have to yes we have people complain that it was not the same but to me thats great after all the site needs t ogrow and adapt otherwise it will grow stale and that is the last thing we need. I will be here for as long as the site is here. Great post.  |

hey there sweetness, I agree with you 100% I love it, the thing I like about it is that people who dont know you personally answer u no matter how old or how young u r, I have been on other chat lines in Aussie land and as soon as they know my age they dont want to communicate any longer and I love to share my knowledge with whoever wants it, no one can feel lonely when they belong to USM I cant speak highly enough of it. Wiley... I can understand what your saying, and agree with you, in part. I don't feel it's right, however, to threaten to "leave forever" if things don't change, according to they're liking. I don't feel like we should have to bargain with certain individuals to make them happy at a site with which they are a guest. |

We still have all the unsolved mystery stuff up, that will never change. I don't understand people sometimes. But you can't please everyone, now can you? This is a great site and I think most of the people know it, they just want it to be "their way". But they can't have it exactly the way they want it, so they complain. *Sighs* it can get so annoying, huh? Thank you, again, for posting this. Great job with writing it.  |

I agree wholeheartedly with Stile..this site is like it's own entity..a person who is finding themselves..going through changes just like a person would. There are good times, and there are times when you think you are going crazy...down times and up times...this is life..and USM has one of it's own. Friends go through changes..you stand by, help them, sometimes wonder at them..but you always stick beside them...THAT I believe, is what USM is..I won't ever leave...  |

Right on, sweetness. We get it all here. Sure, there are those who want things to be THEIR WAY, but it should be OUR WAY. USM is a home to a lot of diverse people and anyway things are, is the way they should be. I have been attacked many times for my CONSERVATIVE, RELIGIOUS views, but what the hey, I can talk to those who want to banter back and forth or I can ignore those who are concerned about MY BELIEFS to the point where they want to make me leave. Well, I'm not going anywhere, and when I see resistance, to me, this is incentive to keep going, and do WHATEVER I want, as long as it is reasonable to the ADMINS. Yes it has been brought up time and time again, but still, people act the way they do, complain about every little thing, even though they have read through the other posts, agreed, and still carry on with what they are doing. USM is worth everything, it is an amazing site!!! And you are so right, it hs captivated us all. Many have gained confidence, through the interaction with all the people here. We all get frustrated sometimes, we all get mad about something, but thats what makes us unique. I just want everyone to know that I'm not saying it's not ok to dislike a certain aspect or two about this site.... Everyone will have there personal opinions about what "better" things can be done to this site, or any site... I'm just wondering, while these people are complaining about how "bad" it has become here, if they're taking any of there energy to recognize the reasons why they love it here so much. |

Enki, I can see what you're saying about long-time members, and can agree with you. I guess I didn't clarify this enough... I'm MAINLY talking about some of the newer members. I recently read a post, from someone who had been here for less than a week, who felt it neccessary to bash those individuals who posted things on weight problems, on relationship problems, on health problems, on events in their life, on the younger members who come here, on those who can't neccessarily formulate thoughts to SOUND deep and meaningful... It made me sick. Person "X" was berating those who weren't posting things that "X" didn't like. Rather than not reply to those posts, and move on, "X" created a post on the lack of content on this site. That bothers me. |

Basically in the begining it seemed that all people who had gripes about something or where mistreated where the evil ones as it seemed to sujest and thats what all the people at the begining supported and still sillily support now even though you have said its not what you meant .. I know its hard to see complaints about a site you love.. I know.. I love this site too.. But its also hard to ignore the complaints, at least for myself it is , when they speak true and are made by friends .. Peace2Ü |

Well, I've been hanging out here for a long time. I still enjoy this place. I find it amazing how friendships can be formed without ever setting eyes on those friends. It is a wonderful concept and I hope that I always retain the memories of my interactions on USM.  |
