WHO'S AFRAID OF THE BIG BAD WOLF???? *miss serbia*

Ok , i would like to know who here has one or more people in thier life they are truly afraid , makes you feel worthless or someone who is just intimidating , i know there is a girl @ my school and her "gang" of friends who i find EXTREMELY intimidating , i stay outta there way , i am too afraid to walk home because of them and i basicly have low self esteem , i dont like telling people about this but i think it helps to find out what other people think and just to know your not alone. Please post any comments regarding this . Thanx sooo much! Lurve , *miss serbia*

If you act like you're not scared around them...they might realize their tough act isn't working like they'd hoped. Does that help any?

I used to be like that at school...getting picked on and beat up. Till one day I had enough of being scared...enough of living in fear...so I fought back. Sure, I got the stuffing kicked outa me...but it was nothing new to get beaten up by them, so what would the difference be? And I fought back again and again and again. Each time they hassled me or attacked me I would just jump in fists swinging...after a while I got better at it and even knocked one or two on their butts before they put me down. Soon they realised that each time they hassle me then they were gonna get hit before they could hit me...they learnt I wasn't scared any more and just didn't give a rats if they beat me up...so for them the fun went out of it...and they left me alone and started picking on other people. At the end of the day ya gotta stand up for yourself, or they are gonna ride you and ride you for years...fight back...if you don't make your stand they are gonna think they can punk you out anytime...and then you may find other people will think its open season on you. Also, have you checked out various self defence courses? I would definitely suggest Kick Boxing, or Aikido, something that is easy to pick up yet VERY effective. This will also increase your self esteem...as well as allow you to get used to being hit...as thats the major drawback, people fear being hit...they fear the pain...when pain is just a state of mind, and in a fight you are gonna get hit anyway...thats just how it goes...so get used to it and don't fear it...expect it and then you will deal more effectively with it.
