The old testament has no reference to hell or the devil. I have heard that the devil was made up to 'scare' people back to church and get more donations. I'm not real sure what to believe, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit.  |

ok if u have a bible (or u can proboably find one online if u dont have one) but here they go.....matthew 5 2 ---- matthew 59 ----- matthew 5:30 ----- matthew 108 ----- matthew 18 ----- matthew 23: 15 - 33 ------mark 9: 43-45-47 --luke 12:5 --- luke 163 ----- james 3:6 ----- 2peter 2:4.......ok u want my oppinion on the bible.....i belive that aliens walked the earth back then....and we worshiped them like gods....so now, it is a religion.......just study it some time....why are more then one then gods presented? why does he say he is not of this world, we are?....just look at it sometime....my grandma told me there are 3 layers of heavan...dont u think thats a little odd....love, |

Hell is in the Bible, Jesus spoke about it more than he did on heaven. Jesus said that the only way to heaven and aviod going to hell is to trust him as you Lord and Savior. |

Yes, hell is in the Bible and so is satan. Get your Bible out and check it out. Also, don't let anyone fool you into thinking the catholics wrote satan and hell in to scare people. We have serveral copies (manuscriptes) of the Bible from all over the world, in different langauges that all say the same thing. Read my post on "can you trust the Bible". Blessings..  |

yes..in fact hell is mentioned in the bible many times....read my post on wut the bible says about satan and it talks about how lucifer got cast into the pits of hell! thanx!!  |

It has really good information on a wealth of subjects, including Satan and his nature. The devil is, in fact, mentioned in the old as well as new testament. Also, about heaven being three "layers" is also true. For interpretation of the Bible I have not found a better resource than BibleBell. And it will give you the text from the Bible itself. If something is not clearly stated, they will draw a conclusion and opinion on the subject. I can not stress enough how valueble this website has been to me. God Bless. VTide. |

To 17290, When God says he is not of this world, he is speaking of sin and worldly pleasures. Also, if you want to take that literally, God is not in the world period. Or the universe. I would describe it as another plane. Not another planet. That just my silly opinion though *giggles* I don't know anything *Shattered*  |
