My mom has had the same vehicle since 1985, it still runs, never broken down, and I am pretty sure that the warrenty has expired. Good thought though, and I think that it could be true. ![]() |

heres waht happens-the companies that make the parts are required by law to run tests on all their parts to see how durable they are. by seeing how many times a certain part can go through its cycle of function, the company that builds the car can hypothesize how long the particular part will last under average wear and tear. The company looks at all these parts and finds out when is the most probable time for a major part to fail. then they put a warranty on it that keeps them safe from having to replace/repair the part, unless you pay an arm and a leg and get an exteded warranty.*whew* what a mouthful. hope it wasnt confusing. =) --Bendark ![]() |
