Not everyone is proud of who they are...I am one of those. Everything I do turns to pain for me. |

lol if you asked me this question a year ago... I would have thought you were crazy for even asking if I was proud to be me because that answer would have simply been no. But I think for me that has changed... I'm definatly happy to be me and comfortable being who I am. I don't really have anything to brag about... but I do think its important to learn to love yourself although it can seem almost impossible to do |

Having pride in yourself, and your achievements, your outlook, your goals, most certainly is NOT conceit. For many years I've strived for EXCELLENCE, within myself, and all that I try to do/accomplish. Many people, who are like that themselves, or even WANT to be, cheer me on and run right along beside me, but there are those whose biggest accomplishment is to get out of bed in the morning and have BAD ATTITUDES about everything, they are the ones who *think* I'm conceited or "stuck up". I feel good about myself that I THINK for myself. I am not afraid to take a stand, to stick my neck out, and at least give it shot, to make a difference. I have compassion for people, no matter what their lot in life, or their race or religion. I like to think I give them a hand UP, and not a hand-out. I'm optimistic, cheerful and kind, but at the same time...I am REALISTIC. I try to be the one who leads, defends, and stands tall when the "bullets" are flying....know what I mean? Hey, this is a good post, good idea. Come on people, CROW a little! |
