...I must admit though...when I was a bit younger, I entertained the idea of leaving myself in a big basket upon Dolly's doorstep with a note: "Please take care of little Hekler. I have no money to feed his desire for Hot Wheels. He has always been a fan of your music and has numerous copies of your biggest ones. |

lol, awwww......I'm sure she new you were just being silly and not meaning any harm by it. My mother had an embarassing moment with Dolly too. She was 9 months pregnant with me. She had a craving so my dad took her to a local 24 hour resturant that is in hotel. She ordered her favorite desert and was just sitting there gabbing with my dad and all the sudden who walks by? Not just Dolly Parton, but Lorette Lynn and Kenny Rodgers as well. They sit down in the horseshoe booth behind my parents and started talking amungst themselves. Now mind you - it's around 12:30 - 1a.m. My mother is telling my father who they are and he' like "No it's not! They're look alikes". Finally he gets tired of her trying to convince him and he says, "Do you want me to ask them? Cause I know it's not them." She tells him to shut up and sit down and that she doesn't want to bother them and to let them just enjoy themselves. That's all it took. Dolly answered the question anyways. LOL. She said, "Yes, we are the real things." and did the giggle thing. Then they all started talking and Dolly and Loretta noticed my mother was about to pop and were talking about me. Hehehe. |
