guy a payed 10. guy b payed 10. guy c payed 10. all together, thats 30. the room was 25. they payed 5 dollars to much. the hotel owes them 5. the girl takes 2. that means there is 3 left. one dollar for each man. it equals 30... they are just trying to confuse you with them paying 27 and all that mumbo jumbo -telsha |

ok i figured it out.. the room was 25, they each got three back that makes 27, and the guy has two.. thats 25. You have to look at it from the view of the 25 not the 30. luv, |

if u go threw and do that math, okay each person payed 10, then they had 5 extra, and each person got 3 and except ther person giving them the money that persong got to, so the math is 10x3-5+3=28+2=30, all that is, is the person telling u it wrong, it was made to confused you and that is what it did, not being meen or any thing, but when you have a problem like this write down the number, and do that math. the extra doller whent to one of the guy's, that's the answer. Ok ok. all 2gether each guy paid 9 bucks but thats to much for the room. (room=25) Now the 2 that the guy took away would have been deducted off the entire bill to don't 4get even though the 3 guys didn't get the cash. So u take it away and that makes 25. There is no 1 missing. They tried to confuse u with all the words. |

You cannot reverse the flow of math that way. That is the answer your teacher is looking for. It is very coy about it but it does do a reverse divison that is not allowed in the rules of math....look closer. |
