you can just go to your temporary internet files, delete them, and the coookies (don't worry, won't hurt your system) if it says it is in use by windows and cannot be deleted press CTRL+ALT+DEL and close any of the Js seeker programs that it says are running, clean out your recycle bin, and you're finished, I hope I was of some help to you *the real macky* |

Katsho I had the same virus and you need to reset the settings on the internet explorer....it will take care of the problem.....quarentine the files its contained in and then delete them and then reset the IE....that should work....whatever you do don't dump and reload everything I went through this last weekend with my computer....All the JS Seeker virus does is implant files on your internet explorer that will change its settings it doesn't mess with program files or anything...Gateway had me dump everything and my back up Cd was scratched and it wouldn't let me load windows I had to go and buy a new system Cd which cost me 199.99 and then I had to reload norton which was another $70.....just try that before you do anything....type JS Seeker into the search engine and read about the virus and what it does...it will tell you how to handle the problem....I wish I had done that before Ilost everything!! |
