How do I get the smell of GASOLINE out?

I had a horrific accident at the pump this morning. Luckily, I was close to home, so I turned around, stripped, showered and put the clothes in the wash. But I have washed 3 times already and the smell won't come out. Is it hopeless? Should I just toss them (One of my favorite outfits :(-guess I should just be glad it didn't get in my eyes, cause those aren't replaceable, :) but I really like that outfit and hate to get rid of it. Thanks.

Date: 9/25/2001 6:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 16131    Best thing to do is to give it a rinse in Vinegar then wash it . Since you have already washed it , now your only 2 recourses that I know of are pumice ( get a jar of orange wash or oxi-clean and add as directed ) and , the dry cleaners . There is one other home rememdy but , it could cause damage if you do not do it right . Get some tide in a cup , use very little water . Just enough to make a paste of it . Spread it on the effected areas and do a load of laundry .... Take Care and I hope this Helps ....
