I remember I had a little 8 track player, a black and white t.v. and a banana board to share between 4 kids..The computer I use actually belongs to one of the kids. @}---- ![]() |

Yeah we may have it easy in the technology way, but we have a lot of other stuff that we have to go through emotionally (just lke Smooth Criminal said) in 20 years i bet there will be cleaning robots!! LoL, and by the way, i have a little dinky boom box, and a clock radio in my room when it somes to appliances, but then again, if i didn't want a bunch of little kids in my room all the time I owuld have MY nintendo and MY T.V. and MY vcr in there, oh yeah i have a computer that i don't use anymore it's just in there to take up space, lol and in a couple of weeks I'll be getting a phone....hmmm...i guess i don't have it all that ruff, BUT we don't have cable so there!! Date: 9/25/2001 6:30:00 PM From Authorid: 39902 Hmm...I don't have any of that stuff in my room. I don't need it. Most of my friends barely have more than a phone in their room. And yes, we have fun stuff, but I'm sure when you went to school, there wasn't nearly as big of a threat of being shot. And don't get me started on the biased and stereotypical view towards teens today. The truth is, yours and ours generation both had/have some advantages or disadvantages. - killer'N'black |

now i admit to raising hell when asked to do housework (& try to get c-'s-- passings --where possible, as honor roll was nowhere on my itenerary) but i have to agree w/you abt the cool toys today's kids have. i only had basic tv at my house-- not even cable --for much of my teens, tho i still liked to hole up in my room-- my mom would ground me by making me watch tv, hehehe --& it wasn't til my second senior year i actually saw anyone use the internet-- ha, have the internet at home --& it blew my mind as much as cars blew my g-grandparents. compared to today's kids i almost have to wonder how the rest of us survived, even ten years ago. *smirk* hell, my nieces-- 5 & 10 --have more gadgets & gizmos in their bedrooms now than their mother & i had in ours-- let alone at that age. but the next generation will be making this generation wonder the same thing too-- misery loves company ya know. <eg> cheers, -tugger ![]() |

yeah, i totally just read this like 4 months too late, but lol it's really true, I feel so spoiled, and I probably am, hahaha. and the sad thing is, that in twenty years, ill be saying the same thing to my kids. "All I had growing up was sattelite tv, palm pilots, and an mp3 player.." lol ![]() |
