i have a layered cut, and i wanna style it so the bottom layer is flipped out, and the top layer is curled under (if you have ever seen the later episodes of boy meets world, i want it to look like rachels, i already got the cut) but i dont have a curling iron, hot curlers or nothing like that. all i have is a round brush and hairspray and stuff, so is there any way i can get it to look like that? thanks!

Date: 9/23/2001 6:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 32193    ok...take a shower in the morning before u go to work/school or whatever, and then after u do that, towel dry your hair as much as u can so it's only damp, not soaking wet or even wet just damp lol and then take the towel off of your head and brush out your hair...then shake your head a few times, then seperate your top layer from your bottom layer...clip up the top layer while working on the bottom. Take your hairdryer and your round brush and make it flip up by drying it that way and make sure before u let the top layer down the bottom layers completly dry....then let your top layer out of the clip in sections and make it so it flips under...and make sure when u finish all of your hair's completly done!! then add a bunch of hairspray but not so it looks greasy!! well thats how I use to do my hair in the morning!! lol good luck! it takes me about an hour to an hour and a half to my hair in the mronign! lol
Date: 9/23/2001 6:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 21233    ok i know what your talking about so spray your hair with the hairspray and use a blowdryer and sweep it back and forth while turing the brush upward and repeat around your head. If your hair naturally curls then you dont need to do this. hope it helps. Peace.
Date: 9/23/2001 6:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 20956    wash and towel dry your hair. Get the top half of your hair (the one you want to curl under) and clip it back. Rougly dry the bottom hair with the hair dryer (nozzel pointing down) then get your brush and use it to make your hair straight with the kick at the bottom. Then unclip the top half and do the same but use the brush the OPPOSITE way..so your hair curl under. Litely spray with hair spray for hold. Good luck .....
Date: 9/23/2001 6:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 7654    Ok a round brush and a blow dryer is fine...But you must have a big and a small round brush...The bigger round brush is to be used for the top layer that you will roll under while blowing hot air on it, the smaller brush is used for the lower part that you will roll up and hold the hot air on....Ok now you have it...spray and go.
Date: 9/23/2001 11:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 31368    I have this haircut, but my hair is really thin so I have to use a curling iron. I use the secong largest size, and I curl the bottom upwards and the top downwards. I also use a round brush while I'm blowdrying it. Then when I'm done curling it, I run my fingers through it to pick the curls apart. Then I take the blowdryer and blow it around alittle to tousel it and loosen the curl. The I use a pick to neaten it up a bit and lay down any pieces that are sticking up. I also do the part in a zigzag to give it the appearance of fullness, since it's so thin. Then I spray it. If your hair is thicker and has some wave you can probably just blow dry like I descibed without having to curl it. Shelly
Date: 9/24/2001 12:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    Have you tried spraying the bottom with gel or wetting it and putting hairspray on it, then using the round brush with the hair dryer? The heat should force the hair to go in the direction you want if you hold it there for a while. Good luck.
