Spontaneous Human Invisibility

Spontaneous human invisibility is a rare phenomena. We lack evidence that an event could occur and deviate from known laws of physics. However, several detailed accounts from unrelated persons have been reported. Most of these reports seem to come from women. Does this mean it only happens to women or are men more reluctant to report such occurences?

The phenomena is involuntary and occurs without warning. The one who suddenly is invisible is unaware of their condition until they realize they're being ignored by others.

One woman was in line at the post office, when a man came up behind her and asked the man in front of her if that was the end of the line. She thought he was being rude until she stepped up to the counter and the clerk helped the man behind her, not acknowledging the distressed woman in front of him.

Another account is from a woman who claims she was ignored in a cafeteria line, until suddenly, the cashier noticed her and seemed to be very startled. In another case a woman actually stood in the lobby of a men's bathroom to test her invisibility. She was never acknowledged.
