People do that because others are unwilling to take a stand and tell them how stupid and ignorant they are. Tell them to go talk to emergency room workers and ask THEM how many "cool" people are brought into the Emergency rooms, as a DOA. That is: Dead On Arrival. You can't get any more "Cool" than that: DEAD=Cool (as in stone COLD dead).  |

Hi Madhatter. I have been around alot of people like that. I am 24. All through school from elementary to high school there was always people that bragged about doing drugs. To tell you the truth, I don't think that half of them ever did any drugs. I think that kids just want something to talk about and to get attention. Things change as you get older.  |

it depends on who hears it, & is meant to hear it, imo; if it's friends bragging abt what a good time they had then that's one thing, but to brag & intentionally want ppl to hear it & think they're cool, that's another. ppl will always brag abt anything they think will make them seem less a goody-goody tho, no matter if it's sex, drugs, drink, etc. i'd just ignore it. cheers, -tugger  |

I agree with you. That's certainly nothing to brag about. I have, however, know people who freely speak about past addictions (keep in mind these are 5 and 10 years down the road) who don't "brag" per se, but aren't afraid to be open and tell their stories because they are proud that they beat their addictions and have been clean ever since. But bragging about how messed up you like to get, or got last night/week/month, whatever is stupid. Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders, friend, keep it that way. Good Luck. Lula  |

I don't brag about smoking pot, but I do talk to my friends about it. Its something we all have in common and we speak freely. I am sick of everyone saying drugs are bad and mess up your life, thats not true for everyone. I am an honors college student and a great mother eventhough I smoke. It allows me to relax and concentrate.  |

I'm 32 years old. And my friends all around my age still brag abount the dugs they have taken the night before and how drunk they were. I my self do not use drugs and I very rarely drink. I do smoke cigarettes and no I do not brag about how much I smoke. Drugs are not cool, all they do is hurt your body. Now if I can just get rid of the cigarettes. One day, I hope. PAVER==== |

hell yes it does! it makes you look like a freakin loser! I do it because i have thousands of genious brain cells so spare and because its fun and i want to. NOT BECAUSE im one of those freshmen losers at my school and think its "COOL" like there are all these kids that always ask for cigarrets and buy them when they dont even KNOW HOW TO SMOKE ONE!!!
