Help heal the "other" wounded. All of the people like yourselves that hurt. Reach out to your neighbors, friends and relatives. Tell them you love them all. Tell the people you know here on USM. Love is the only medicine that can help heal these wounds. Confusion in the mind and heart is such a hard thing to deal with at this time. Your demonstration of love and support can help people to remember what really matters. |

you can donate blood, donate money to the red cross, fly your american flag, stay calm, help those around you who are still hurting from the loss, offer to volunteer collecting money for the red cross or setting up fundraisers, set up a fundraiser on your own with friends and family, get a restaurant or local radio station involved, there's a lot of things you can do...base |

Oh geez, now you've got me crying again. I have been doing this, since the beginning. I want to try and organize something that would help those in NY. I have already been to donate blood, that was the first thing I thought of. I know the volunteers are in need of clothing, boots, and tube socks, since they are changing their clothes so often. I'm thinking maybe I could go around to my community and take up a collection and send it. I'm also going to call my local department stores and ask them to put a large donation box in the front of their store, so people can buy something while they are shopping and drop it in the box if they like. I think as long as I'm keeping myself busy, helping, I can pull myself up out of this funk. @}------- Shelly |

My husband is putting our new flag up tomorrow morning. Thank god for my mother-in-law. We haven't been able to find one but she did. @}---- |

all the things you said would be good, go around your neighborhood and do that and drop it off at the red cross, do what you need to do for yourself to get you through it, everyone reacts differently and you think you're way of dealing is to not be idle and throw your hands in I say good luck...base |
