Could our attackers be, using Nostradomus' prediction as a fear tactic? ***Shelly***

I hate to be redundant by posting this same quote again, since I have already seen it posted a couple times but keep in mind that I am giving you a different spin on this, that has made me feel a little better. I have read many amazing, many times very specific, but most times vague, predictions by Nostradamus. The recent quote posted here about World War III has really gotten me nervous, since it does seem to coincide so well with what exactly happened today. I have felt very low today, and I have never feared for our safety in this country as much as I have today, mostly because I am worried that this prediction could come true. I have been looking through some interpretations of Nostradamus' predictions, and found several trying to interpret this quote and trying to guess which city is the proverbial "city of god" Everyone of these came to the conclusion that this "city of god" would be in Isreal, or mecca, or other such eastern cities that have actual ties of being cities pertaining to god.

I started thinking, and realized how many times have I heard this quote before today? I am just an average person who hasn't done any research or really put any thought into interpretation of this, but I HAVE heard this quote many times. So what I am thinking here is this. I'm sure many world leaders have seen this quote predicting WWIII and tried to figure it out, whether they actually believed in it or not. His predictions are common knowledge, so isn't it feasible that whomever planned this attack, used this quote while planning their attack, and is using it to prey on our fear? The people responsible, have a vendetta against the USA, so isn't it possible that they looked for things in the US that could corelate with this prediction, knowing that people would look at this quote and immediatley see the similarities. Then I looked at the word "succumb" in the second to last sentence. I know what succumb means, but I started to wonder if it could be interpretted differently. I looked it up in the dictionary to find all definitions.

OK here's the quote again so I can explain my theory better: In the city of god, there will be a great thunder, two brothers torn appart by chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb. The third big war will begin when the city is burning."

Now here are all definitions of succumb" 1.to give way to;2. yeild;3. submit to; 4. TO DIE. Ok, it is believed that the plane that went down in Pennsylvania, was actually headed for Camp David, with hopes that the president would be there, then by doing so killing him. Now if we interpret "succumb" to mean "to die", which it is believed was the intention of the third plane, then we can say that the complete prophecy has not come true, since the plane never made it there, and the president wasn't there anyway.

This has really made me feel better about this. I am really seriously wondering if this wasn't a ploy by our attackers to make us believe it was the coming of the third big war, as predicted. We have all wondered what the significance was in the buildings they chose to destroy, since each one of them fits into a different category. The only thing linking them is that fact that they are in America. I have to agree with the interpreters in their ideas of what the "city of god" might be and I don't think NYC fits into this category. I think this is just one more well thought out scare tactic, to cause panic among the people. I believe this even more when I think the whole prophecy was not carried out. I don't know if this will ease anyone's mind, but it certainly did for me. ***Shelly***
