That's absolutely what I think too. It's the same as being a parent. You let your kids grow up and make their own choices and mistakes. But you love them no matter what. That's what God does for us. |

"Go on, I'm gonna give you all free will, but make sure you pick my religion or you're all gonna be damned for eternity." Is that it? |

the most effective way to enslave a human being is to convince them they are free |

LMAO! I have to agree with the person above me in some respects. We are "free" but not. This is also a question of religious prefrence, and moral standing. |

I agree, we have a choice, whether to follow God or not. He gave us free will, b/c he loves us. Sorry, Dark Phoenix, but God doesn't have a religion!! That doesn't make sense. Yes, he gives us free will. If we "chose to use it," there are consequences to everything that we do. Well, i think that people would make their decision to not believe in God, or follow him, no matter if he gave free will, or not. That's how human nature is. The point is that God loves us so much, that he would be willing to put us though this whole trial of life. Free will is a gift from God, and isn't something to be made fun of by other people. |

42568, please tell my why it doesn't make sense for God to have a religion built around him? Not that I believe it matters one way or the other myself, but I don't see how it makes no sense that God wouldn't have a religion. |

God gave life but He didn't want robots..He wanted someone who would love and trust Him,just as a parent who gives life to a child..Would you really want to have a child if you only gave birth to a robot? |

Let's see, robot kids! Never disrespect you, always do what they're told, never have to worry about the late nights or what they're in to... Yup! Works for me!!!...jbdoe |

humans=God God=humans...god gave us free will to experiance himself..beacuse in spirit he knows everythin about him but he wants to experiance his knowingness e.g...u know that australia is great for surfin but u would feel a bit incomplete unless u were able to go there and experiance u surfin on the waves. thats why we have free will its made for us to experiance are selfs as anythin we can think of..e.g selfish..good..bad..lovin...angry...list goes on |

I'm curious about this "Free Will" business. It's not mentioned anywhere in the Tanakh. Nor do I recall it being mentioned in the Christian bible. Anyone have any ideas where the biblical proof of free will is? -- The Wandering Jew |
