PE does stand for physican education also once called gym and it is soposta be fun but its not fun when your 1 of 2 freshman in the same PE class with Jurors and Senors. Peace.  |

well my pe class really does physical education! maybe it's just your school..OMG i just remembered since i missed 2 pe classes this week i have to write 2 5 page reports!! aghh! this sucks..lol. ~Lauren  |

hmm yeah P.E. does stand for physical education. But I think physical education teaches you how to be physically fit as well as to be healthy which would explain your tests...  |

we did health & that stuff in home ec at my school, if i remember right-- they wouldn't let me take that part of the class 'cause i didn't have my mom sign the slip; i thought i had some rights as an 18yo but apparently not in this case --& p.e. was really & truly p.e. might've did more of it if the class was like yours, but seeing as i would've had to actually think instead of think up xcuses, who can say. cheers, -tugger  |

When I went to High School, long, long, ago, we did do a bit of theory the first year. After that it was more of the prac work. What year are you doing? Maybe its just this year that you have so much theory.  |

I see your point and I agree that things have changed....but I look at it this way...you can have a bunch of students run up and down a field for an hour to get fit, which will probably last as long as the course itself lasts....or you can teach them the importance of being physically fit and how it actually effects the body and why they are doing the exercises....which will last them a life time.  |

LOL.. Yes when I was in school in PE we did alot of PE and the testing was done in Health class. My son seems to take PE tests alot too and I shake my head in wonder every time..LOL  |

Wow.. Someone actually got PE for what it should REALLY be! I mean that class is telling about the real physical education, sounds like what other schools call "Health" class. ANYWAY. I think they should call PE PT (Physical Training) cuz that's what it really is. Yeah, that's what I think! LOL I'm just a little hyper right now. |

PE is physical education..but think about it..it means your whole physical well being..not just exercise...but health etc...learning about your body..its all apart of being physically healthy.  |

LOL. I remember when I was in Highschool and in PE we had to take STUPID tests. My dad was like tests!!!! I thought that was PHYSICAL education. Idont know why they make you take tests. They never did it 10 years ago. All I remember was basketball was invented by some guy who tied a basket up high and they threw the ball in there. Can you believe I got a D in PE because I failed every single test.  |
