CD review: Offspring: Conspiracy Of One

some of the best punk music ever has been Offsprings trademark, and im happy to tell that their newest cd, 'Conspiracy of One', continues that tradition. from the catchy riffs, fast paced drums, and even more catchy lyrics, this is probably the best album around for group scream-alongs. the only song that i was dissappointed with was 'All Along', perfect song except 4 its length. in fact, since only 1 song on the cd clocks in at over 4 minutes, its short, fast, intense, and perfect. the thing ive heard a lot of ppl complaining about is "All the songs sound the same! U cant tell the difference between any of the tracks!" true, this would be a problem if any of the songs were bad, but since none of em are, its not to big of a problem. standout tunes: 'I Changed Again' (yes, i know thats not the real title, excluding one little word.), 'All Along' (short, but awesome), and 'Vultures' (very, very, VERY catchy guitar, i was humming it 4 weeks). get it if ur planning a party anytime soon, or if u crave good punk tunes. -madhatter87

Date: 9/3/2001 10:52:00 AM  From Authorid: 35720    I always liked Offspring, but I kinda doubted them after I heard they went on TRL and stated that they "didn't want to be punk" they "wanted to be pop". But I'm pleased to hear that the new CD is still great.
