For me high school was just a place to make friends and have people to talk to during the day. The classes were easy, the lessons were pointless, and I felt like it was a waste of my time UNTIL I was put in AP classes. I'm going to be a senior and my schedule this year is insane. My freshman year in HS was scary and nervewrecking yet exciting. I was brand new to the school and only knew two people. BUT I met some really friendly people and got involved in sports and other things and my year was great! I met lots of new people and learned a lot of new things. Just be friendly and everything will be okay! Soph. year wasn't the best cause I was trying so hard to figure out who I was and who I wanted my friends to be and I got backstabbed by them a couple of times but I learned my lessons by junior year and had a wonderful year...and met my boyfriend and now this year I am anticipating being a senior with all my friends!!!! Love always~  |

Well i'm not gonna be a freshman i'm going to be a sophomore, but it is also my first year of highschool. It's wierd our school system is messed up junior high is from 7th to 9th grade & highschool is from 10th-12th. I'm kind of scared b/c i'm going to be a little fish in a big pond again, but since junior high for me sucked i'm hoping that High School will be really fun and a GREAT experience. sorry i can't tell you how h.s. is, but my sister who just graduated said she liked it alot and wishes she could do it all over again. My first year in High School was a breeze, I wasen't even nervous about being near all the high schoolers because lucky for me I always hung out with older people and I was friends with a lot of them. As far as classes went it was easy as well, I loved school and I got honor roll every year because I wanted to learn but I also had fun..Wish you the best and relax because high school is not as scary as it seems...plus when its all over you will miss it, I have only been out of school for 4 years and i miss it so much...its over before you know it so enjoy it while you can!!  |

My first year in high school was quite weird! I had moved 2000 miles from Texas to Montana just before my freshman year. Talk about a major cultural difference! It was hard, but I made a lot of friends. The hardest thing was trying to adjust to the new COLD, FRIGID weather! YIKES! I hate weather under 70 degrees! Best of luck to ya!  |

Really FUN, really EASY, really FAST. That describes my experience, but I think yours will be quite different, it sounds like you're a genius or something!! Have fun, however it goes. Don't get too caught up in social things, because in high school the grades get set in stone and you can't go back if you screw up...but I don't think you ever would. Good luck!  |

I myself had a horrible time in HS, But times have changed a lot and my son graduated this past year and he loved all four years of HS. I am sure you are going to like. Just remember to always be true to yourself and you will have no problems. Good Luck.  |

Well mine was the shizel!!! i loved and everyone was nice...but, most schools have a fresman h*ll week!! it sucks, luckely our class didn't go through it b/c we were bigger then the upperclassman!!  LOL but, its all good..i am a sophmor now..i get to pick on the freshMEAT!! LOL j/k....everything will be fine..just dont let anyone bully you  |

Freshman year wasn't so bad for me. It took awhile to get adjusted to high school...but then it was pretty fun. My sophomore year rocked. Our school spirit went up about 200% and the atmosphere of my school was just great. I'll be a junior this year and I'm hoping it will be just as great as last year.  |

The first day of my freshman year in high school was the worst...only because i got lost and had no clue what i was doing. after the first week, when you know your schedule, locker combo, where your friends hang out, and all the other stuff, you'll be fine.  |

I was a freshman last year (going into 10th grade this year) and really enjoyed it. There was so much freedom compared to middle school! The classes weren't split up by grade level like I'd had before, and so I interacted with a lot of kids and wasn't frightened of the "big bad seniors". I, too, had AP classes, except they're called 'Enriched Courses' at my school. They were pretty fun and challenging, except for my Enriched English, which was so easy it seemed like fifth grade literature. (We were learning about *commas*!) I also loved that my school was very techology-oriented; in fact, I took four computer classes last year. This year, I am looking forward to an experience like I had last year. It will be even more fun, I think, since my friend will now be in high school and I know the layout, so I won't be lost. All schools are different, though, so remember your experience may be different - or it may be the same. Best of luck to you.  |
