How to get a snazzy name tag, like many other people have on this site. First, you may only have 1 name tag, because you should only have 1 USM account. This is so that people do not feel deceived by thinking they are talking to more than one person. If we find out that you have more than one account we will have to cancel all but your oldest account. Name tags are a gift, they cannot be earned or purchased. They are given (as thanks) to those individules that frequently visit our site and contribute to the site in the form of comments and/or stories. Name tags are visible in the comments you leave on each story (even the comments you entered before you had a name tag). This is the primary reason for having a name tag. All snazzy name tags are created by hand and it can take hours so we want to make sure that the name tags are going to frequent USM visitors. This is demonstrated to us by a number of different things. 1. Length of time as a USM member (at least 2 months). 2. Number of times you visited the site. 3. You have filled out (some) information on your USM junkies page. The button for that is on the home page. 4. Number of good comments (4+words each) you contribute. Should be at least 200. When you are ready for your name tag: 1. Go to your profile (USM Junkies Profile) 2. Click on "Check Comments and Tag eligibility" Link... 3. If you are eligibile click on "Request your tag" link. Please include any suggestions you would like to be considered when creating your name tag. Note: Suggestions will only be considered, due to size requirements we are greatly limited as to what can be included on a name tag.  |
