There is something very frightening about being so disposable. Your parents don't like you, no problem...they'll just have you cloned and throw the old you out, hope the new one's better. And with all this stem-cell research arguing going on, it's even worse. How can anyone excuse creating life for spare parts? Life is life and killing a fetus for its stem cells is no different than killing someone in the hospital to steal their kidneys. It's just wrong. How far are people willing to go? And it's all because our society is so afraid of death, that's what it all boils down to. They are willing to do anything to try and keep themselves alive, whether or not it endangers their children and grandchildren, etc. The most important thing to remember is that life is not meant to be permanent. We all die, every last one of us, and no amount of stem-cell research and cloning will ever stop that. Death and taxes, my friends, death and taxes. Morrigan |

Wow! Someone's been watching one too many science fiction movies. j/k I don't think we should consider ourselves all powerful God, besides you have to be careful when messing with the higher power. Cloning may seem like a good idea right know but it could also have a down fall in our society, could be the very thing that ends human race. |

Well i am AGAINST cloning - if it was allowed, how would restrictions be put on it? How would you know that the things you mentioned would actually NOT happen - i mean if they are a clone of humans wouldn't they have the nature of humans and therefore cause conflict with their clone not to mention the rest of the world ... personally i think there should be strict enforcement of the limit that scientist can play around with man's genes and dna!!! ~Butterflly~ <>< |

No way human cloning should be allowed. That is an abomination. Who's soul would it get? God didn't create people like this, and people shouldn't create people at all, no matter how good the benefits seem to be |

On the Drudge Report, today. there's a headline story about 200 couples from around the world, none American, who are going to go to sea and be impregnated with cloned embryos. So we'll see. Personally, I am against playing God and have posted a statistic that implies that only 2% of cloned efforts even work, and that those "human clones" reveal babies with heads too large, who develop at a high rate and then of course, die. It is not ethical. IMHO. Free Girl |

Sure, let's allow cloning. Then the scientist can create a super-race of humans. Blonde with blue eyes and are perfect in everyway but one, no soul. Or better yet, how about a hybrid race or two. Playing God has its ramifications, are you willing to risk the future of humanity? >Bearclaw< |
