THIS IS WHAT I KNOW...Yes, God knows what is in your heart, but you have to be saved in order to go to heaven. Good works do not get you in heaven. If we would get to heaven by our good works then it would be just like here on earth. People would still be boasting around and acting proud because they did so many "good things" Heaven is a place of peace and shouldn't be full of proud and boastful people. This is a b*stardization of the warrior myth. Which promises eternal reward for those who die in battle for their country, king, czar, tyrant, etc. Helps to overcome the evolutionary survival instinct for the suckers who believe in it. Both sides used this myth in the last Iran/Iraq war. Strangely the high-born seldom find this an incentive to get themselves killed. Hugo |
