I want to build up my pecs a little more. I know bench-press is good but my weights are soooo clutered and my dad makes me take all of the wieghts off when im done. Its annoying. Thats why i would like to know another meathod. Im not talking about tone work-outs either (i.e. push-ups dips) i want more mass.

Date: 7/24/2001 8:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 15621    Squats are a all around GREAT mass builder......and The close grip bench press is great for the inner pecs for cleavage
Date: 7/24/2001 8:07:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 39198    hey, hey, hey, let me just say this... i am a dude. i am straight. so if im a straight-male w/ cleavage then the chicks are on me like....that(snapping sound in your head ok?)

Date: 7/24/2001 9:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 34078    taking all the weights off i consider is part of the workout the warm up and cool down although it does seem a bit fanatical, dips done with added weights is a bodybuilding movement when adding extra weight using a belt and chain to suspend the weights, pull-overs work the pecs as well as the lats, start with flyes, then wide grip bench i think they refer to that as supersets or supersetting, (i never paid much attention to the jargon just that it works) it stress's (pre-exhausts) the pecs first as bench then works tricepts (the weaker muscle) and transfers more stess to the pecs. i don't mean to condtradict anybody but close grip bench is considered a tri (tricept) workout and yes squats is the king of all round mass building, ive done 2,000 squats in hour without weights just for fun.
Date: 7/24/2001 9:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 25828    with dumbbells (sp?) you can raise them straight in front of you to shoulder length with arms straight and this gets the front of your shoulder and the top of your pec. butterfly's do it - so you need two dumbbells and something to lay on.
Date: 7/24/2001 9:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 25828    and if it's 'cleavage' or that split you're wanting then butterfly's are the BEST.
Date: 7/24/2001 11:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 15621    LOL.....cleavage is a term used by lifters meaning the seperation of the front pectorals
Giving you that big chest look

Date: 7/24/2001 11:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 15621    and your right 34078...I meant to say incline press...not close grip bench press...my fault
Date: 7/25/2001 12:38:00 AM  From Authorid: 34078    incline to target the top of the pecs, decline the lower portion, flatbench gets the middle
