We Do Not Live To Serve God..................God Serves Us!!!!

Think about the logic here.

I hear a bunch of hardcore Christians running around saying "Oh, we live to serve God, blah, blah blah.....", but think about who really serves who. God is an Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent being, thus God is all powerful. Then if God is all powerfull, then why does he need us powerless humans to "serve" him?

He doesn't. God is the one that truly serves us. Humans pray to God, and God answers our prayers.God helps humans, therefore SERVING us.God is all powerful, so he doesn't need our help. God answers OUR prayers, so technically GOD serves US. Make sense?

Date: 7/16/2001 10:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 30743    I serve God, not the other way around.
Date: 7/16/2001 10:12:00 PM  From Authorid: 15033    Its give and take I think...win/win with the right faith and attitude...Love,

Date: 7/16/2001 10:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 7654    God's requirement that we serve Him,obviously is not for his benefit; Rather it is for ours.Because God is love. He wants the best for us.Our true contentment will be found only in living for him....God is worthy of human service simply because of who he is !
Date: 7/16/2001 10:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 36803    although i'm not a believer, it sounds good to me. lol...but I think it's a 50/50 thing. They both do their share.
Date: 7/16/2001 10:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 16671    TTQ I think this is flawed thinking. God helps us, He does not serve us. WE serve Him, by worship and prayer and by telling others about Jesus, we Serve HIm by doing the works that HE wants us to do.
Date: 7/16/2001 10:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 37960    Hey, you make it sound like humans are helpless. Rex Z
Date: 7/16/2001 10:59:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 16612    LOL. I do what I think is right.
Date: 7/16/2001 11:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 19382    Hey Tessek, that's kinda right. But god/s chose wether or not to answer prayers. So he is more a "helper" than a "servant" I would reckon. BUt either way it doesn't bother me.
Date: 7/17/2001 1:59:00 AM  From Authorid: 30229    I agree with NanSassy here... I SERVE God!!! He does not serve me, he only answers my prayers when it is HIS will to do so... huggggs....
Date: 7/17/2001 7:38:00 AM  From Authorid: 31837    I definately see your point, but it's like he's our parents. He's the boss, but he helps us out from time to time. D ~t_dub~
Date: 7/17/2001 8:02:00 AM  From Authorid: 12835    God gave us commandments to follow. When complying with those commandments we are serving him. With his powers, if you choose to call them that, and by following his words, we are blessed. I wouldn't say he was serving us, rather, blessing us.
Date: 7/17/2001 11:40:00 AM  From Authorid: 33409    I don't think anyone serves God, and God does not serve us. Maybe help us out a bit, but thats it.
Date: 7/17/2001 7:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 13897    does if i actually believed in God...hehehe. =) logical though, yes.
Date: 7/18/2001 10:58:00 AM  From Authorid: 39949    he does not need us to serve him.he created us and can destroys us.god even loves the people in hell.god ust wants us to live right and serve him.god is power and we are his servents.god even loves people who right not so smart debates about him.god bless.><esp911><
Date: 7/19/2001 2:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 34361    You can't just be anyone and pray to God and receive a miracle! That's why so many people fall out of Christianity! They think they can live their lives how ever they want, and when they pray, God is suppose to jump up at salute and give them what they ask for. LUDICROUS! God does Not operate that way. We Are Bought And Paid For! Yeah! That's Right! We have a chance to be forgiven for all that we ever do and have ever done wrong, by simply giving ourselves to God. Mind, heart and soul. And He (God) is such an awesome God, he chose to REWARD us for our loyalty! THAT'S when our prayers are answered! That's when we receive JOY, That's when we receive and or witness healings! It's just sad how you think of God as a servant for us????
Date: 7/19/2001 4:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 16931    I agree with NanSassy. There is glory in giving up glory, honor in surrendering honor and reputation in being of no reputation.
Date: 7/20/2001 6:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 31997    WOW!!! It's good to see how far the human race has come over the past how many years. Still believing that they are not allowed to make decisions for themselves, that they need some rules (a.k.a. commandments) to follow...I've noticed that you aren't allowed to make decisions or think for yourselves really. They're's always somebody looking over your shoulder, making sure you follow the "rules." HaqZombie
Date: 7/20/2001 8:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 39198    Interesting, I think when they say we serve God they mean spread the word about him, you do have an interesting point though. _Nightwatch_
Date: 7/28/2001 2:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 19613    If we did not exist, what would God have to be God over? He would be obsolete.
