You're right.. I am so much more superior to everyone else. I shouldn't be treated with the same indignity as common people.. good post! ~PacificSoul~ |

Yes, of course ppl who are more intelligent should be entitled to more.A stupid person does not deserve the same kind of job a more qualified person should have. |

I know, some people aren't equal. Does a true definition of equal really exist? I just don't think there's a cure for everything. |

Wow, I saw the title and came in here ready to pounce on you. But after reading your post, I got your point and I'm prone to agree with you. The Communism link is dead on. Regardless, this is a pretty hot topic that brings up all kinds of subjects in relation...that I'm too lazy to bring up. Maybe somebody else can do it. lol Great Post! J.B. EnigmA |

It is equal opportunity that is required for an efficient capitalistic society. Give everyone equal opportunity and let the invisible hand divide up the spoils. Hugo |

I get your point Tessie and it makes. I think perhaps the word "treating" might be the point of disagreement though. Just an example: A well dressed man with a PhD in physics walks into a restaurant, orders a cup of coffee. At the same moment an elderly woman with little education, no teeth, shabby clothing and little money does the same. Who here "deserves" the better "treatment"? And why? Again, I think it is the word treatment which may bring on some dispute. We all advance according to our own abilities and acquire accordingly also. I think also that many people, given different life situations would be far different people. Just a thought. Good observation tho Tess. peace, |

i guessed you were the author of this post about 5 lines into it. You seem to be really up on making it known that you are smart. Are you insecure about your intelligence or do you just like to brag. Later |

I think maybee a better measure of how equal a person is or deserves to be treated would be based on their own actions as a human being. Are the Ted Bundy's and Jeffrey Dahmers equal to the Mother Theresas and Dahli Lahmas? Not in my opinion. But I believe all humans who are doing their best to live a good life deserve equal respect and consideration. |

You forgot the part that says "Some people TRY harder than others" I have to say I agree with you on this one, to a certain degree. I am a firm believer that we can do ANYTHING we want to do with our lives, it is choice. There are some who just settle for making it, some strive to make it BIG... Some are content, some are not... I think that God created us all equal and it is up to us to keep the score EVEN throughout life... Great post Thanks... |

Being different does not make us unequal. We need to recognise that whatever ability a person has that it is just as important as any other. For equality to exist, respect for the differences between us has to be practised. Sagi 10 |
