i have done a spot of research on tesla in my day. i personally think that certain factions in the u.s. gov wanted to keep tesla's discoveries to themselves. there would be no need for these monstrous nuclear power plants if we were allowed to use the good tesla's technology. i know a few men who have copied what little of his technology is available for their own personal use. the u.s. gove came and took it from them pronto.interesting man tesla. meru |

I've always found Tesla and his achievements to be an interesting subject. And, I don't see why the gov't wouldn't take his research. Rumour has it, he built an earthquake machine, but destroyed it when it nearly totalled his neighbourhood. I definitely think the gov't would want to get their hands on the technology he created/discovered as fast as they could. If not for their own gain, then to keep it from others.  |

Tesla's work was more to do with dimensional manipulation than physical manipulation. What was gained from his work was not the ability to affect weather patterns or create Earthquakes...but to create portals into dimensions that are otherwise hidden from us. I researched Tesla, and I think most of the people got it right here. Many people believe the explosion in Tunguska was Tesla's handywork, via his particle beam cannon (his death beam). Tesla also, as Tessek said, creating an earthquake machine (using a steam-driven oscillator) So, I believe the reason Tesla's papers were seized is to protect the nations of the world. Who knows what havoc could have happened if some psycho got a hold of the papers? Some say that Tesla created antigravity technology and the US and Russian government has yet to destroy it.
