I write quite a bit of poetry, but I usually limit it to one a day or One a week..simply because 1) Not everyone is a poetry Reader, 2) Too much poetry in the list by same author gets overwhelming to other forum Members. Many Poets should also Type their SN next to their Title, so people who ARE familiar with their other postings in other topics will want to read it. I feel lucky just to get one reader sometimes. Yes, it would be nice to have 14replys like I see some other poets have, but hey, I gotta be realistic, plus...the poetry is more for myself than for them  **ShadowVixn**  |

The poetry section here used to recieve alot of replys, but then the icon was moved away from all the categories on the left side of the screen where all the sections are listed (for a long time it was right above the junkies profile box)...therefore since being moved to where it lays now...people seem to "miss" it and theresults are that of hardly no replys....hummm, perhaps it is merely working its way completly off the screen  |

I really don't read much poetry here, but now and again a title catches my eye. I agree with Shadow Vixen, that too many poems by the same author on the list can overwhelm a person, because sometimes I'll read a few poems by one author, but after the third or fourth one (Which I still enjoyed)I won't know what else to say in a reply, and I don't want to sound canned.  |
