I agree with you. This place is like no other. I also come here to get my laugh on, or even to just comment to someone who needs to vent. It completes my day...and sometimes my days get very long. Scrappy Doo daughter, thanks for this post. And yes you are so right. I do the same when I am sad, I go read something to cheer myself up. I love reading poems cause some of them can take me away into a fantasy world to get away from my own for awhile. I love the chat room cause it's a clean chat room not like others. I have met so many wonderful people here. ALOT of FRIENDS I'll never forget. Someday hoping I will get to meet face to face. Hey Scrappy! Big  's for you lol! I'm glad someone posted something like this again! At one point, I made one, but it got deleted  because no one would respond. Well, I'm glad we've got one going now! Anyway, Scrappy, just for the record, I only came to this site because at one point, I was OBSESSED with the show Unsolved Mysteries. The episodes I was watching didn't show the website address, so I figured it would be "unsolvedmysteries.com!" Well, this site is SO unlike anything I've ever encountered. I met A WHOLE LOT of friends, although I met a couple enemies, too. But most of this stuff, you would find it all over TV, not on "Unsolved Mysteries." A mean, look at the side board over there. "Household Tips," "Embarrassing moments," "USM Games"??? Yeah, right. Those are things that only this site has to offer. Call 1-800-imb-eing-real-lyst-upid for more details. Ok, ok lolololol! But the point is, I love all of you guys from the bottom of my heart! If anyone of you EVER need to talk to someone, please let it be me. You can all come to me whenever you need to. I know exactly what you mean Scrappy. I too also like to read poems and stories that other people have submitted. Alot of them do cheer you up if your feeling down. I know that some of my poems cheer me up when I read them. Even if I'm not feeling blue for they just make me realize that life is too short to dwell on the past. Everyone has a present and a future and they should concentrate on living each day to the fullest and hopefully making a bright future for themselves......Clarissa  |

Hi, I'm T_dub. Nice to meet you, Scrappy Doo. I've only been here scince the end of March. I, too, love reading posts here, on USM. I like reading them more than posting.  I've replied to around 370 and have only posted 45, so far. I've definately read some posts where I start questioning my own point of view! I have a favor to ask you. I don't post as much, because I don't have too much faith in my own writing. It IS getting better, though. I posted a poem on this site called "Dedicated to USM". I've written probably 3 poems in my life (besides in school when I was younger) that I shared with other people. This site and the people in it inspired me to write the one I posted. I haven't posted one since, because I had to practically BEG people to read it. I know that people don't paticularly like to read all 400 poems that are posted a day, but I really wanted people to know how much I appreciate them. The favor is this: Could you PLEASE read it and let me know what you think? I'm going to college soon, and will most likely have to write a poem or two. I just want to know if I have SOMEWHAT of a grasp on it. I'm not a very good writer... like I said I don't have a lot of faith in my writings. Thank you so much for posting this!
