they kill squirrels, moles, birds, whatever is smaller than them (and sometimes the same size! )....just animal instinct - i've watched it up close - hard to watch but animal nature 8-) they like to bring trophies of their kills home too- leave a bird head or squirrel tail on the back step 8-) |

Cats are great because they "pretend" to be domesticated. I love their sneaky style! Inside they are sweet and the purr, outside they are ravenous beasts hunting the kill! MEOW!!!!!! Ryphis |

yep - wolves are the coolest to me - they have the cunning and the calm of a cat - the intelligence is seen in the eyes..but the powerful bodies of huge dogs - they got the best of both worlds...vicious, yet very loyal and pack oriented 8-) |

THis is normal. My cat left his trophy of Bird wings, two feet, and feathers on my front step the night before last. I guess I shouldnt' be worried that he wasn't getting enough to eat. **ShadowVixn** |

I was feeding this stray and i thought she was pregnant several times - she never had kittens - after observing her more closely - it was after a fresh kill and her gut was so full she'd look pregnant for days! 8-) |

Hello Kandi. Fierce Kitty Cat. I think that most cats just can't resist a fuzzy, bushy tailed, little critter running across the lawn, all nervous and all. Yep, cats are "natural born killers." Write on... |

I don't think I have ever seen a cat attach a squirrel before, but I don't allow my cats to go outside,I bet they would attach everything in sight if they did. |

My cat Midnight has eaten every animal he can get his paws on. Rats, rabbits, mice, birds, lizzards, and even bugs. First he bites the heads off and then proceeds with the legs, next is the torso and then when he is done eating he leaves the guts of the animal on the porch. I always have to look where I'm walking or else I'll step on some dead animal. I've never seen my cat eat a squirrel, but it was probably because I wasn't looking. After he eats his main course of a dead animal he comes in the house and meows until his cat food bowl is filled with food. He eats it and then is off to sleep. (<>..<>Alien |
