...sea horses are very fragile litte critters Moonie. You think regular tropicals are prone to disease? Seahorses need lots of care, low turbulence in the tank and plenty of anchoring points. Faster fish in the tank can be a problem too, along with the "nippers". Seahorses are relatively inexpensive to purchase, but you may go through a lot of them before you get the hang of it. Buy the books or see if you can find any good info on the web. Good Luck! |

...Becky...I had the same kind of eel at one time. Seems that this eel's main ambition in life was to die. The stupid thing would find it's way through any small opening in the top of the canopy and hit the floor. I managed a few successful revivals even when it was sort of dried up after spending ???? time on the floor through the night. No more eels! My rope fish liked to pull the same stunt until I secured the top of the tank. Perhaps the rope fish was only trying to escape from the red devil that eventually sent him to fish heaven. Fish are fun. The guy at the aquarium shop loves you. Your purse (or wallet) empties quickly. I figured that I could support kids for less money and that's what I' now doing. |

My brother had a salt water tank and bought him a sea horse one year for Christmas. Few places give a guarentee that it will survive and most won't refund your money. I paid $70 for one years ago....they are really fragile and his died within days |
