Date: 6/14/2001 6:54:00 AM From Authorid: 35821 actually if you listen to some of the music, it is either the same music with different lyrics or the song has the same tune as 5 other songs out there, I think people are running out lyrics or notes to write for the music. |
Date: 6/14/2001 7:41:00 AM From Authorid: 5886 I think the music known as "Rap" takes care of that... after all, they talk so fast you don't know what they sayin anyway. |
Date: 6/14/2001 7:56:00 AM From Authorid: 33088 But everyone's familiar words, are new words to someone who hasn't had the same experiences. That's why love songs are endless. Everyone who feels new love, feels like they're the original discoverer of it. Likewise pain, betrayal etc. So, love songs and country music are immortal, I think. Love, Amaranth |

Date: 6/15/2001 10:22:00 AM From Authorid: 12133 It is already being done. there are only 12 notes available, but in differet octaves, and only certain octaves are audible to the human ear. So there are only so many notes that can be played. Its like the chords "G", "D", and "C". They are the most widely used chords in that order. There are a lot of songs with those chords in that order. Like "Knocking on Heavens Door", "Every Rose Has its Thorn" and many others. Thats not counting the blatant ripoffs some bands do. I have heard bands that coopied "Sweet Child of Mines'" intro and it is pretty unique. They copied it note for note. |

By the state of current "music" trends (rap, country, boy bands, etc) I would speculate that by the time we reach the point of all music being identical, it will have been incorperated as a form of torture rather than enjoyment. "Talk! Or else!" "Or else what?!" "We'll play Eminem records...." "Oh, dear God! I'll talk! I'll talk!!!" |
Date: 6/16/2001 6:21:00 AM From Authorid: 34159 Well I guess it's starting to happen now - all pop songs ( ie boy bands) all seem to sound the same - heehee ( no offence to peeps intended of course). Hey seriously though that would be freaky and a lot of people would be out of a job. |
Date: 6/16/2001 11:40:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 23367 its already happened to rap. all of ja rules songs sound exactly the same, and why are all these rapper ppl putting music like from the 70s and 80s in the background and then rap over it. its happening. i mean, some bands are just complete copies of the bands they want to be. |
Date: 6/18/2001 12:11:00 PM From Authorid: 32998 i thought of this befor they will have to make new words with new meanings |
Date: 6/18/2001 3:31:00 PM From Authorid: 35456 The English language borrows from languages and the person that had 26 to the 26 power, it is more than that because we have the same work meaning more than one thing, most do.. different number of letters, ect, Never run out. Yardbird |
