Date: 6/13/2001 8:27:00 PM From Authorid: 34341 Definitely "The Shining", which works so good on a psychological level. It's proof that a movie doesn't have to have gallons of blood in it to be scary...<glock> |

Date: 6/14/2001 10:34:00 AM From Authorid: 33088 When I was about 9, my brother and I sneaked to watch a schlocky 50's flick called "Desmond the Hypnotist" on the late show. My Dad was at work and we were in the house alone. Opening scene, housewife puttering about her kitchen, puts towel on the counter, turns on gas stove, bends down, sets her own long hair on fire, raises her head and S C R E A M S ! I almost peed my pants, but I watched the rest of the movie, anyway. Second scariest was The Excorcist. (Really cool music though!) Amaranth |
