Thank you tootsie. This will be my first father's day without him and july 31st is the first anniversary of his death. I am not even through grieving it seems....the holidays are very hard....very but thanks for your kind words and reading my poem about him. it means a lot to me *huGz*  |

I know how hard it is losing a loved one...it's been 8 years that my mom passed away and it still is very hard for me at times...my dad just turned 78 years old and I know he's not going to be here forever so I try spending as much time with him as possible...one day we will all be together though... |

I do not find this sappy at all hon' . I am sorry for your loss there but , noone suffers where he has gone . Maybe there will be some compfort in that thought for you . Plus , just because , you can't touch him anymore , all it means is he merely shirked a shell he was ready to leave so that , he could lay down his burdens and xollect his rewards .... Take Care ....

CBlossom, I have just now read this beautiful tribute to your father and trust me I KNOW what you are feeling!!! I lost my Mother nearly 8 years ago and she is on my mind EVERY day. After the first year, though, the GOOD memories took over the sad ones of her illness and death. I still miss her, and I still love her dearly, but I think of her in a beautiful way and I thank God that I had her for as long as I did. God Bless you and I 'feel' your pain. Mother's Day is still hard for me, and I guess it will always be, but I have accepted that. Love and Huggggs to you and thanks for these beautiful thoughts!!! ...  |
